AHS PARENT NEWSLETTER HOME MAILINGS
Please e-mail Mr. McCorkle if you would like your name omitted from the mailing list for the 2007-08 school year. The AHS Parent Newsletter can now be accessed from the AHS web site, and, because the school budget is very tight, Mr. McCorkle could save hundreds of dollars in postage fees. If you have access to the Internet and can download the newsletter, or read it on-line, please drop Mr. McCorkle an e-mail to that effect. Households without Internet access will remain on the mailing list. Mr. McCorkle''s e-mail address is mccorkle_t@aps.edu. Thank you.

AHS Cluster Rubrics
These rubrics can be used by all teachers in our cluster from pre-K to graduating seniors. The criteria in each rubric are the result of a great many brainstorming and planning sessions among the schools in our cluster, and thereby serve as the standards by which teachers and students create and assess writing in any content area.

Albuquerque High School Reviving Art Collection
So far, it’s a current collection of one, but that one is a big step toward restoring a long-cherished tradition at Albuquerque High School.

The school’s National Art Honor Society and senior class want to bring art back to the forefront of Albuquerque Public Schools, and hope the purchase of the first new work for their collection in more than 20 years will inspire other students. The groups recently hosted a reception for the work’s artist, Santiago Perez.
